| God Matt how dense can you be? The reason they didn't ask was because that was the condition at the old site. I don't know if the Banter boys had permission but I do know a few bloggers did so I assume it was the same with them. You kept telling us how great the site would be and how it would be the same only better so I'm sure all of them assumed that they could continue as normal. Again its the way you approach things. Wouldn't it have been a better way to handle it to contact the bloggers/BB boys and tell them personally that they can't do this. Rather you wait til there is a violation and then start a fire storm--which you got badly burned by the way-- Ever consider taking a class to learn how to deal with people in a professional,mature manner? |

Ayfan- Wildjays was approached. I don't know the banter guys. I welcome the Banter guys to come on the site and write great things...link interviews that they did for podcasts etc....but add something to site...don't self promote. That's all we've seen so far from them. Link great stories...don't link them through your blog. That's the thing - are we asking too much? Share info like crazy....but add something to the site. Don't just say - LOOK AT ME.

So they can link to their podcasts, but they can't pre-promote the show? And if they can link to their podcasts, what's the difference with that and one of the bloggers linking to their blog? How is this different than you going on Huskers Illustrated and letting people know that you had a guest coming on your show? |

1. The HI reference is not relevant cause I paid to be on that site. I'm not saying I want those guys to pay to post...I'm just saying - they were getting money out of me so they let it slide. I know Sean too very well.
2. Yes, post all you want....link all you want. Just don't pull people away from our site to help promote yourself. The banter guys be all over the site and if they were adding content...I don't think we would care...but they don't

Is it, I don't think we would care? Or should it read, I don't think I would care?
Either way Matt, you are writing a case study on how to upset and alienate people over the span of a 7 day free trial. I look forward to your published findings, but I think I know how it ends. |

Look - after this week - we will review this policy on the free board. It wont' be allowed on the pay board but once the new board takes over this site - we will ask you guys what you want...
Is that fair? If you want to let those guys promote - they can. If you don't - they won't. Deal? Can we please stop this non-sense?

sure, promoting them on the free board is fine and more than fair in my opinion. maybe they can interview you matt, then you can be on 1620
